Zena and Georgie by Claire Bartlett

Lovely painting of two super looking dogs. I think the one on the right has worked out a little better than the one of the left, but then a white dog is much trickier to pull off. I think I am missing the little catch lights in the white dog's eyes, which would bring it's expression a little more to life. Love your background which compliments the colours of both dogs equally - so that was a great decision.

Well done Claire, two nicely painted dogs. I agree with Thea that the background colour to each dog compliments that particular dog, but I don't feel the background links the two dogs together. I can imagine drawing a line straight down the middle and having two lovely portraits.
