The Dartmouth Arms
A watercolour I painted from a photo I took during our only holiday in September last year In Dartmouth. One of our most favourite destinations in our camper van. It was from a road above the corner of Bayards Cove looking down on The Dartmouth Arms pub. I simplified the painting slightly to leave out parked vehicles which cluttered the image I thought. Apart from the pub itself I found the rooftops and chimney stacks an interesting subject and the bookshop a challenge to represent.
