Sketches on some watercolour paper offcuts. Wanted to see how I am at quick figure sketching and chose my musical hero’s The Beatles as a subject. I used some Publicity photos for reference from 1961, taken during their Hamburg period. Hence the title as Ringo wasn’t with them then. I messed around with the posing so they are not true to the original photos. Surprised they came out so well! So far I have resisted the temptation to add watercolour sepia washes as I don’t want to ruin the images though.
