I am not an abstract understander or fan but I really like your set of paintings. I think it is the colours that are attracting me and they are very cleverly put together. Nice work.

Hello Thea, Thanks for your interest and comments. It's only been very recently that, following a one day workshop, I have tried to make abstracts myself. Now I'm hooked. At least for a while. I can honestly say that not one of them began with anything specific in mind. They all evolved by accident and only right at the end did I think about what they felt like, and then I named them. (and sometimes added a bit like the number on the wall) thanks again, I'm glad that you like them.

Acrylic paint plus inks. These tunnels run under Dudley in the West Midlands where I used to live. I don't know the significance of the number 32 painted on the tunnel brickwork. The boats had to be 'legged' through because there is no towpath for a horse.
