Just happened across this painting in my nightly trawl of the gallery. I love it. The colours are wonderful. I find it so interesting and my eye roves all over the painting seeking out all the little gems of design in it. Super work.

Thank you so much Thea. That's exactly the sort of response that I hoped to get from a viewer. You've made my day.

I agree with Thea - this is a absorbing painting that really grabs and holds the viewer's interest. The colours work well together, and the collage elements are really intriguing. I can see that the workshop was a worthwhile experience and you have obviously learned a great deal from it. Super work!

This is fantastic - i keep coming back to have a look and love that it has a message - keep using collage would be my advice! Great colours with an aged look somehow and the straight edges add structure - how big is this image and is it on paper? As i commented earlier keep exploring abstraction i think this is a very sophisticated painting. : )))

Thanks Julie and Amanda. It's painted on a canvas covered board and is 23.5ins x 16.5ins. Most of my stuff at the moment is on paper (Galeria acrylic pad) that I prime with gesso to give me some starting texture.

A response to problems and perceptions within the planning process. Also my first real use of collage. The colours are reminiscent of those used in the old Bartholomews maps. I seem to have trouble escaping those at the moment.
