Schwarzachtal-Alm
Schwarzachtal-Alm , Gerlos, Tirol, Austria. Watercolour 56x36cm on Arches 300g rough streched. This is another of my favourite painting locations. I love the old traditional barns with their rhythmic shadow play on the ground. The U-valley, shaped by glaciers during the last great ice age, gave a perfect background. I used the old wooden fence as a lead in to my focal point. The cottage on the left side in the foreground I kept simple and undefined, that it doesn't compete with the focal point.
