Wilder Freiger Ferner
Wilder Freiger Ferner, Stubaital, Tirol, Austria. Watercolour 45x110cm on Arches 300g rough, streched. This panorama painting I created from several photos I took during our last week's hike to the Sulzenauhütte. The Ferner (glacier) is getting smaller year by year due to increasing temperature (climate change). I finalized the painting with a glaze of Cadmium Blue over the rocks on both sides which frames the painting. This made the white of the glacier to stand out!
