Cadini di Misurina
Cadini di Misurina, Trentino, Italy. Watercolour 50x110cm on Arches 300g rough, stretched. We arrived at Rifugio Lavaredo late afternoon. It was raining slightly and a thunderstorm darkened the sky on the horizon. After an hour everything was over and the setting sun sent warm beams through the clouds. Some of the highest mountain peaks caught a wonderful shimmering light. The grass on a nearer mountain shoulder was glowing in brightest golden green. Moments like this one will remember all life long. In my painting I tried to catch this incredible mood.
