Acrylic on canvas 60x50cms. . These fields are at the back of a friend’s house in the Gers region of France. It was an extremely hot and humid afternoon but having walked down the track I discovered this subject and made 2 sketchbook paintings of it. After that I beat a retreat as my ankles were being bitten by tiny creatures in the long grass.
