In a Different Light by Chito Gonzaga

Well you won't know if you don't keep exploring it - I like this, especially the strong darks contrasting with these rich lights, especially in the water and trees.

This is fantastic and a very good direction to head in. The colours are so bold and brave and the composition, although simple, has so much interest that I have just looked and looked and keep finding small miracles in it. It has been painted with your heart rather than you head and those are the paintings that inspire.

I dont often find paintings on here that I would really like in my life Lots that I enjoy for the moment and admire. But this is just a bit special Chito, a very good direction.

As artists we know the joy of a spontaneous burst of energy to paint. I really don't know if there is a formula to get back on to that zone again, but your comments and encouragements help a lot.

As a relative newcomer to the PO site, this is the first time I've seen your work. Browsed through the whole portfolio and was enthralled. It is interesting to compare picture 1 here with picture 21. Despite the quiet scene no. 1 depicts, there is nevertheless a lot on energy eminating from this image. I shall look out for more stuff from you to see what happens with this change of direction. Should be good!
