Beautiful Iris flowers Chas, I love the detail. I will have to try coloured pencils again, the trouble is it takes so long to do and I haven't got the patience and it makes my arm ache!

Hello Margaret, thank you for the comments - coloured pencils do take a time, but the one thing I have come to appreciate is that good quality pencils can make all the difference. I have a number of different sets and by far for dry work I find the Pablo for me give the best results. I usually work on the picture over a number of days, I can get distracted by other hobbies, sometimes I have had a couple on the go and this I am afraid tends to batch them up hence I will put three on this week. (This being number 2).

A lovely portrait of a very difficult flower to draw, and you have done an amazing painting.i do enjoy working with coloured pencils and I know how long it can take, but I have not come across Pablo before, but I will look into them, hanks for giving the name well done Chas.

Hello Tao, thanks for looking at the picture and kind comments. Pablo pencils are made by Caran D'Ache along with the water soluble version (same colour range) Supracolour. They do work out pricy for the complete set but can be bought individually, some of the colours in the set I still have to use but there is time.

Hello Carole thank you for your comment on my picture.

A lovely pencil portrait of a beautiful flower.

Hi Ellen, thank you for looking and comments - appreciated.

Well observed and very nicely executed. Love the composition and the illustrative quality of this piece, which works very well for the subject.

Hello Seok (hope this is correct as first name), Many thanks for viewing and the very kind comments.
