Great detail Chas ( just noticed you prefer to be called). Love these Iris.

Oooh what beautiful Iris's Chas, not the easiest to draw but you have done a marvellous job with these, well done.

Very nicely done Chas and a lovely result. The line drawing looks very confident.

I find iris are the most difficult flower to draw and paint, there are so many little bits to cope with. I think the colours are unusual and dramatic, you have done a lovely painting

Hello all, thank you for the welcome comments - I used my favourite pencils for this, the Pablo series. Each one of the flowers is a mixture of a number of colours, Found with my method of drawing to treat each individually before going to next otherwise for me far too many points of reference. Thank goodness for a very hard pencil and a potty putty rubber. Regards Chas
