Lovely use of textures and sense of light and shade here Chearles.

Such a beautiful woodland scene Charles - I can almost smell the freshness of the damp soil and the broken light through the tree is lovely.

Love the atmosphere and contrasting tones, if no goulash was used, what colours were used for the late autumn leaves, lemon yellow? or what other technique did you use? Love to know, because what ever you used is very effective.

Peter - Lemon yellow mainly with a weak mix of ultra blue + cad yellow flooded in in places -- if you look at the left hand forground i've painted the black ink in first and then glazed on top afterwards

Lovely light through the trees and the texture you've achieved in the foreground is brilliant.

Beautiful Charles, it reminds me of my walks throuh Sherwood forest at this time of year....it's just about chestnut picking time!! Thank you for recognising the location of my Lathkildale posting Charles.

Lovely to see another wonderful painting. I can feel the cool moisture from the damp ground and smell the leaf mould. A fitting 100th posting!

Superb detail and spontaneity in this piece, Charles. The recession is particularly well done. Looking forward to the next 100 pieces!

Really like this Charles. Magical colours and you have achieved that wet, drippy branch look. Can almost smell that damp fresh atmosphere you get in the woods.

Beautiful.

Hi Charles - nice to hear from you again - and thanks for your comments on my latest effort. I often look through your portfolios - very rewarding and relaxing! I particularly like this one, but miss your regular postings. Hope you are well?
