Cakes? You use the magic word - I must go. Another fantastic painting - I did wonder how you did it, but your revelation that you use little white explains the technique and the intense colour, but not the sharp, free, lively brushwork. Was this a similar approach, ie painted on white primed MDF, or did you employ more white this time? Would I be wrong in guessing at the latter, because I sense a slight difference between this and your paintings on watercolour paper. This has been - still is! - a wonderful series of paintings, and I find it hard to believe you're self-taught, but am rather glad to know that you are; it shows what can be achieved when you're determined to find your own way; and that formal tuition and collecting certificates are NOT necessary.

A really super painting! Love the colors and the trees, rocks and water - everything about this painting, really!
