The 'old critter' has done well! Nice, strong colours again but plenty of light. Is it me, or is there a hint of an octypus with his beady eye on us on the left of the trunk?

Charles what can I say, you make it look so easy ( I wish)

I agree with everything they said, Charles: this is beautiful. I like trees and roots, have also many photos and you made me think about giving it a go as soon as possible!

Lovely golden light, excellent detail Charles.....love it!

Learning to paint watercolor, Charles? Really? I always thought you were born with a sable paint brush attached to your hand! Your paintings are brilliant, and this is a stunning addition to your very accomplished gallery.

Well I think you have done a great job of this Charles. Its lovely.

Very well done, lovely mossy greens, typical of the Derbyshire damp and wet weather!

You are a master of greens Charles!

Painted on Bockingford 140lb not 8"x12" -- Near Bakewell Derbyshire.-Painted from one of my photos taken about 20-25 years ago-- { Photos of Derbyshire I have 1000s taken over the last 60 year } --- Not an easy painting to do -- well not easy for an old critter like me who's still learning to paint watercolour.
