ONLY IN WINTER

This is a really nice painting Charles, the composition is first class with the river leading into the bridge and the background of muted winter trees behind, understated just enough, like all your choice of colours for this winter scene and the water is so well painted with all the reflections from the surrounding embankments,.

An idyllic scene beautifully painted as always.

What a beautiful place for your ashes (not in the first couple of years I hope!!!). You painted the water and the reflections perfectly. I love it!

You can't go yet, Charles. A few more visits to the pub first.....

Robert is right Charles.....and besides we want to see many more of your fab paintings! Funny how important it is to some of us where our final resting place is to be. Our little cemertary is across from the beach and I've purchased a lair on a slight rise, so I'll have a sea view!!!Lol

Beautiful painting as always Charles. I love this walk too. If you go before me I will come and pay my respects to your ashes!!

A lovely painting and a superb place to be in.

Painted on Saunders Waterford 300lb rough 12x16.---Winter is the only time you can catch a look at the Viator bridge at Milldale, Derbyshire.--- My favourite place and were I want my ashes to be--- Tell you why.---- Just off the painting to the right are two lovely benches to sit and view, behind benches 35m away are the toilets also behind the benches -- a magic little cottage selling tea-coffee-cakes-pasties from its front door What more could I want.--- Only one small problem --the pubs up the hill ,a mile away----- My ashes are to be on the small island between the two arches
