On the Artsocial zoom class last night we were looking at the story behind the composition. The tutor (my brother!) put this still life together while he was on holiday in the Lake District last week. He deliberately added the blue medicine bottles to the left to add another interest. (One of the members of the class uploaded her painting and said "missed off those bad guys to the left-too difficult!) The light was from above creating a different effect.
