Thank you Faye, the background was a mixture of pale terracotta and pale umber which made the loveliest deep colour.

Like it a lot Carrie , I occasionally use a sea sponge for tree foliage , you get some great shapes as you have here.

Painted on 30x100cm stretched canvas. The sky is a mixture of pale terracotta and pale umber. Flowers placed down impasto with sponges, using acrylics mixed with some metallic paints.
