I like the ideas behind your work and they are well observed...two elements that I would suggest to make your images have a greater impact...strengthen the colour/lighting and don't crop too closely as it constricts the image like a postage stamp... my 'umble opinion, ma'am! Have tried soft pastels but used them impressionistically...didn't like...powder got over clothes and they made me sneeze!

Thank you for your positive comments and very useful feedback. I find soft pastels messy too but coping because they seem to be the best medium for me - very forgiving!. I actually love painting with watercolours but find it hard to rectify mistakes! Thanks again.
