Hi Carol, such a shame about the photo, it isn't easy getting it right I've had lots of dodgy results. Can't give you any technical tips on that one I'm afraid. I'd have another go though, I would love to see your painting properly!. It looks good, especially the foreground textures. Thank you for your lovely comment on my latest effort.

Experimental imagined scene with limited palette -cobalt blue,T White,Yellow ochre Alizarin crimson & a tiny smidgen of Viridian green -water based oils. I really find it almost impossible to get a decent photo of these oil paintings. So far they have all been small (7.5 x9.5 canvas boards) but I'm feeling the need to use a larger surface with oils. Watch this space! Constructive comments on the painting AND getting a decent photo would be very welcome.
