looks good to me ..I can see I.ll have to up my anti your all better than me love you all

Carol, where have you been? Lovely to see you back posting I hope this is one of many. I think Alan has quite a fan club building up....I'm attempting this very same scene from the Leisure painter mag! You have done a great job, perspective is really good, I'm struggling with that bit. Could I suggest stronger, warmer shadows across the road maybe? If this is the first you've done for a while, give yourself a pat on the back. If you like doing Alan's paintings, have a look on Utube he's got quite a few video's on there.....excellent they are too.

Thank you Alan for your kind comment. Fiona -2013 was not a particularly good year for me so unfortunately painting time was minimal. This is the first attempt since August and if anyone is going to get me back into it, it has to be Alan. Interestingly, looking at my actual painting makes me realise that this is a poor photo. But once again you are right about my weak shadows- as ever!! I have just treated myself to a new laptop so now I can actually view videos etc downstairs where I paint rather than on my main PC in the office upstairs. I've just stocked-up on decent paper so hopefully it will be all systems go in 2014. Thanks for looking Fiona

This is my version of the Alan Owen article in February Leisure Painter. It is smaller than Alan's version and was completed after rather a lot of interruptions from my cat. I'd appreciate comments & criticism.
