Great Carole - Of course you are excellent when it comes to cliffs and rock faces. I know just what you mean about getting carried away. Where does that time fly? Very well done. x

Thank you for your positive comments Jeannette - just realised all my paintings have either rock or stone in them - hummmm what could that mean? Painting certainly gets rid of time faster than anything I know, but then they do say if you are doing what you love - time has no meaning - so true!

Yes I like this painting too, Great rocks and that shadow on the middle rock is great. This system is economically good too because I end up throwing away whats left on the palette.

Same here Lorraine, hate waste too. Thanks for the nice critique

nice traditional style, must try some more mountain scenes myself, thankyou for your lovely comments as well.

Thanks again Mark - I really loved doing this one

Those mountains' shapes are great.

Thnk you again Jimmy

really do like this one, makes me want to start with my acrilycs, lids not been off for six years,it is really inspiring.

Watching Michael Sanders did the same for me Roland. But thank you for the compliment

Brings back pleasant memories of a similar scene in Austria. Thank you Carole. Lovely work and 'off the cuff' too! Regards John.

Thank you John - sometimes you just have to "do it" Would love to go back some day and paint it plein air (hopefully with no rain!)

This is very good, I started using acrylics a while back but ended up thinning the mixture so they looked like watercolours and losing the texture .

I've been there Neil - watching a couple of videos of acrylic slapped on did it for me - love it now!

great painting Carole the mountains really draw you in to the paintjng

I love your gallery, Carole. I have a soft spot for Scotland and I really like this painting!

Love this one too Carole. Was reading your comments and can totally identify with what you say about time flying when you're painting....3 hours can pass and i think i've only been at the easel 3 minutes. House work never gets done....thankgoodness i'm not house proud !

Thank you Geraldine and Kate - get that hoover out!

I was watching a programme on the Painting and drawing channel last evening. Michael Sanders was demonstrating acrylics straight from the tube. I was so inspired I set up there and then didn't realise I hadn't had dinner until 9.00 oclock! Just finished it this morning - let me know what you think - I REALLY enjoyed doing it!
