I like this painting VERY MUCH Carol, may be because I had experimented with surface texture too. It seems that you have had lots of fun. Bet that you will paint some more...

Yes, I like this one too. You can see the texture, but I bet it looks even better " in the flesh ". Nice colours with good light and dark shadows, really well done.

Love it excellent use of colour, great texture too.Best regards Paul.

Thank you very much all! I can't put the paste down Beatrice I think I'm addicted! It is nice in the `flesh` Val, my fella loves nobbly paintings! Maybe I could get a job as a plasterer - hee hee

Lovely cool colours, your textures look good.

Nice painting but what is the line two thirds of the way up and going through the arch??? Maybe it's some kind of electric cable??? Does the painting need it???

This is a really good painting Carole. Away from your usual style. I love the textures - it certainly looks old. Whether to put the cable in or not? In this case I think so - it adds to the painting your skill in painting it and getting the perspective right. Imagine without it. I think it would take something away. One to be proud of. PS thank you for your comments on Paradise Garden they are always very much appreciated.

Thank you Carole, the texture was the fun part

Hi Alan I see what you mean, but to me it helps viewers go through the arch?

Thank you Jeannette - much appreciated

For me Carole, the window through the arch does that already........hey but that's only my personal view. I love the use of your shadows and again they lead you in to the painting and love the texture as well.

wow..........love the colours and the texture

Carole, I love all of work but this one is one of my favorites. Love the texture, the perspective and the light! Thanks for your comment on my yellow tulips!

Acrylic, moulding gel and marble dust on deep edge canvas. 24 x 18 inch. Inspired by the labyrinth of `vias` in the old quarter - Capri - of course!
