A touch of Cézanne here Carole. I’ve been inundated with apples from two friends….yes, apple crumble too and apple tray bake. Still got loads left, can’t waste them!

How interesting. I’ve never even thought of priming a canvas for oil pastels in this way but of course you can. I would never have known you’d had an issue if you hadn’t said and the result is delightful.

Thank you so much for your supportive feedback Stephen, Marjorie, Faye, Carole, Heather, Jacqueline and Linda. There are only so many apples one can consume Marjorie and I am getting a bit short of ideas as to how to use them all. I suppose frozen, stewed, apples might be an answer.
