Someone asked me paint the shell on the left, which is from New Zealand. I include the other two shells I happened to have in the house and used an imaginary background. A bit of a challenge as the left hand shell is iridescent so I struggled to represent it accurately. Soft pastels & pastel pencils on pastelmat, 9” x 12”.
