Like how you painted the bridge it’s really good.

Nicely done, excellent colours.

I wonder how many people have painted this Carole. It still looks the same..

Really lovely striking palette Carole.

Glorious Carole

Like it! A novel take on colour - do you still use cold pressed, I wonder? I'm experimenting with different watercolour papers, so also collecting others' impressions (I know the paper is a very personal thing, and we all react to them differently).

Very good oldie indeed

Many thanks everyone for your generous comments. Much appreciated. Yes Marjorie, isn’t it good that we can still enjoy the bridge, just as it was all those years ago. I rarely paint in watercolour Robert as I find it so fickle. I use to find that the heavier the paper the better the result. I know that I disliked hot press as it doesn’t work well in wet ‘n wet techniques.

A lovely tranquil oldie!

I like your watercolour very much Carole, love the characterful bridge.

Thank you Anne, Russell and Fiona for your lovely, heart warming comments.

A wonderful "plein air" study. You captured a beautiful sense of history and quiet nostalgia. 🏛️☀️

An old painting but your beautiful style of painting shows through Carole.

An old painting painted ‘plein air’ many years ago. Watercolour on cold pressed paper, 10” x 12”.
