I like your painting/drawing Carol...I'm never sure whether it's a drawing or painting with coloured pencils...not that it matters. Also intrigued by 'soft touch' coloured pencils. Looked them up, they have good comments from the users. Are you able to compare them with normal coloured pencils? Great result here, anyway.

Thankyou for your comment, Lewis. I'm never too sure either:) I have tried the Derwent colour soft pencils, very nice, on black and white paper, haven't tried them on the film, yet. I tried these as they were being compared to poly chromos coloured pencils, as they are somewhat less expensive I gave them a go, they work well on the film, and took a few coats to get the right shading, I've yet to try them on paper , but have confidence they will work well. Thanks again, Lewis.

I forgot to mention the difference in softness between the 'wax' and 'oil' content, Lewis, the latter being the softest and more expensive. I find these on parr with Derwent

Thanks for that Carol. I have Faber Polychromous and water-solubles, I like them a lot, but, like you, find I need to build up layers sometimes. As coloured pencils seem the most likely medium for me in the future, I'll try some of these soft touch ones.

It's really good Carol

A lovely drawing Carol.

Thankyou, Heather, Spencer and Denise your comments are most welcome.

This is lovely Carol and beautifully done.

Thank you, Dixie, for taking the time to pop in and leave your comment, appreciated.

This really is great, Carol. Beautiful subject.

A gorgeous piece, I love the vibrant shapes and the lively lines. Beautifully done!

Thank you, Mia, Seok and Tanja for your lovely, lovely and valued comments.

Hello Carol, thanks for your kind comment on my portrait of Tyrion, he’s a real little character. He already had his name when he came to us last year and as he was then 7 years old we felt it wouldn’t be fair to change it! I love this delicate composition of daisies and trellis, it’s really lovely.

Thank you for your wonderful reply Lynne. Its nice to know Tyron has a forever home with you. Its a gorgeous painting, and he is an equally lovely looking companion. Thanks again :)

This made my day, this just makes one smile.

I'm happy it has made you happy, Jihan. Thankyou.
