Hmmm. Have you defined the berries more? Still vibrant and good! Just out of interest, have you used a flash?

No, I haven't defined the berries more ( I don't think ! ) Thankyou for the comment Gudrun - I used an automatic setting, which may have used flash - it has bleached out a little in the centre. In repainting it I decided to lighten the top left hand corner as it really was too dark. My husband keeps telling me I make the backgrounds too dark and after I get cross, I tend to agree - that's why I repainted it and deleted the old one. Why Hmmmmmmm ????

Hi Beverley nice painting like it a lot am new to pol .

Beverley, I like the colour contrasts, the orange and blue are good together. I love the berries, you should be happy with this,.

Thankyou both Brenda and Louise

"Hmmm" was because I couldn't picture the orginal to compare! You can stop the flash even on the automatic setting. You'll just have to have a good light - 12pm daylight or so to take one without flash though. That said, it works, especially the berries!

Lovely contrasting colours in this picture

Thankyou Jane, much appreciated and Gudrun, thanks again. The background in the original top left was much too dark. Thanks for the tip on not using flash - I always have trouble photographing work and trawl it around the house trying to take a reasonable photo. Perhaps I should buy a decent camera !. Thanks for your nice comments !

Acrylic on box canvas 40cm x 40cm - Reposting of deleted previous submission as it's been repainted. There were cobwebs in this pyracantha one misty morning but I quite obviously have not painted them
