Hello Beverley, thank you very much for your recent comment on my painting. You have a lovely gallery and I'm glad to have discovered it. This is a gorgeous piece - love the clear washes and the delicate petals that you've so effectively captured. I'm glad you have rediscovered art and hope you'll be fully recovered in due course.

Watercolour on stretched paper 30 x 20 I have not painted for twenty years but whilst recovering from a recent serious illness, a friend suggested I come along to her art class. It was sooooo nerve wracking, not having picked up a brush in so long, but I was really happy with my quick painting. I got home and fetched out my ancient paints and brushes and I can quite honestly say it has changed my life. I am unable to garden at the moment so have made myself a little studio and get completely lost in painting. I have started to experiment with acrylics and mixed media too, after never having touched them before. I am so excited I can't tell you ! ( even if a couple have gone in the bin ! )
