Excellent rain effect. Regarding the umbrella...I'd leave it as is. The painting is just fine.

A lovely atmospheric watercolour, Steven and I would agree not to have a coloured umbrella so the tram stands out beautifully!

We love Lisbon but it does have it's share of downpours. This is a watercolour using a photo my wife took on her mobile phone. I used wet in wet techniques and let the paint run down to convey the reflections of the rain, also used masking fluid on some of the highlights. I was tempted to give the girl a colored umbrella but thought it might distract from the tram! What do you think?
