Brian, if you can paint like this why on earth bother about a a quality camera. The compostion is spot on and the treatment of colour is superb, only wish I was so good!

It's a brilliant and beautiful painting; and so far as I can see, a fine photograph of it. Do you sell your work? Can't imagine why not, if you don't.

Why bother with improving your photographic skills? It's the painting resulting from that photograph that counts! From a mediocre photo to a superb painting - that is the ultimate in creativity.

Although I did this painting in my studio. It is based on sketches and a photograph taken on location whilst on a sketching trip to North Yorkshire earlier this year. As always my photo does not do the painting justice I really must get a better camera or have some photography lessons.
