I think you have achieved great atmosphere in this painting, and lovely lighting on the water.

Really beautiful. I love the shading of blues in your sky. The reflection on the water as Lesley says is lovely.

This is seriously good paintng. Particularly like the water and the feeling of chill coming up now that the sun is setting..

P.S what did you use for the very dark branches? It is difficult to see on the photo.

Hi Judith, in response to your question regarding the trees, I used ordinary water colour. The darks on the photo are slightly darker than in the painting - the colours in my photo are not totally accurate (as always!). The trees are a browny/black a mix of ultramarine, burnt sienna and crimson, and blue/green/black a mix of ultramarine, sap green and winsor violet.
