Wonderful painting. I love the fact that you have kept the colours gentle rather than butch as most artists do when painting large machinery.

Absolutely excellent. If I'd been doing this I know i would have made the engine far too dark. In sticking to blues and greys you still have a black engine without it being overpowering. We had two steam trains pass our house last week. Lovely to listen to them. There's nothing quite like the sound of a steam engine to bring back memories of childhood holidays, sitting on the cases on the platform excitedly waiting for the monster to come in in clouds of smoke and steam.

Subtle colours, nice bold subject. I like it. Enjoyed a skip through your work, and wish I could use Photoshop too! Regards, John
