Hi Brian, I agree this is a better version. It looks as if you have changed the direction the light falls. It was a good idea to emphasize the wall running alonthside the stream with shadows. The house on the right is taking the light and the street on the left is in the shadow? I think in the original painting it was the other way around.

Thanks Olga, Yes the light was odd that day almost overhead and ahead right. The photographs were flat and I have struggled to give it colour, contrast and life.
