It's not a failure, but I do see what you mean. Those far greens are too strong in register/tone against the colours of the foreground. Which is probably exactly how they looked, but paintings need a bit of help to convince. If you're doing this in acrylic, I should be inclined to emphasize the sides of the canyon, probably one side, (the right, I suggest) more than the other, keep your strong foreground, but mute the tones and colours of the canyon floor and distant mountain and foothills. Are you using pthalo green or blue? If so, I'd switch to cerulean, cobalt or even ultramarine to mix the farther greens, or, if you feel you must have a ready-made green, try viridian - pthalo, which I believe I detect here, is a fierce and invasive colour - if used, it helps to tone it down with a touch of red. I'm probably over=advising here! It's frustration because a temporary disability makes it hard to paint myself.... not that I often paint myself: I'll just shut up now...

Watercolour on Bockingford. A view from the south road of the Canyon, one of my many failures, Green and foliage are my Bete Noire. The painting is from aummer last year and dug out again to evaluate the possibility for an acrylic?.
