This cat looks so vulnerable - so dependent on being left alone to lead its life; I wish we'd just let the natural world thrive, and stop destroying its environment for our profit and convenience..... we are a truly horrible, destructive species. Maybe artists like you can help remind us of that, and thus help to rein in our terribly destructive tendencies.

Thank you all for your comments - Dear Robert, I found this photograph whilst trawling Google 'Wild Cat' images and have seen no other illustrations of such an animal. I cannot find the photograph that I copied it from but believe that the animal was as surprised as the photographer who came across it.
