The thing I like about paintings like this is they don't just depict a scene but they also show the artist has vision.

Oil sketch approx 10x8 inches. This is St Peter's Chapel - built around 660. It marks the end of the pilgrim path known as St Peters Way, in Essex. It stands on its own, away from the crowds and is not far from where I live.
