The most beautiful colours Beatrice, the sea is almost transparent. You have captured the complicated strata of the cliffs so well.

Thank you so much to you all for your lovely pat on the back.<br />Karen, I hope you had a good sunny day when you visited. <br />Actually Monet painted from the other side where there is more beach to stand on.<br />I went there when I was 14 years old, living in France then.<br />Little did I know I would paint this scenery in England from a photography by an Italian artist...

The Cliffs at Etretat have been painted by Monet, Courbet and other famous artists. They are most challenging due to their strata in all direction. I have executed this painting thanks to an Italian historic photograph who agreed with me for a limited Copyright translation. I painted it in Oil on Linen canvas box
