Autumn light in a Cotswold valley
While out walking, I photographed this scene near the village of Chalford on a near perfect autumn morning The colours in the trees glowed in the strong autumn light, whilst dark shadows across the lane contrasted with the brightness of the nearby field. Between the two ran the roadside stream reflecting the colour and the light. To capture the light would be the challenge. I chose acrylic so as to quickly add layers with palette knife and card edges to achieve some looseness. Size 20" x 15".
