Great scene. I really like the slightly mysterious illuminated angel in white!

Looking forward to seeing Mark 2 - it's definitely got something

Good take one this class is scene. There is a video of Graham Booth painting Choggia on his website, well worth a look.

Makes a nice change from usual colours of Venice Barry.

I do like the sparse range of colours Barry. The reds and blues stand out beautifully, the mistiness down the canal is very atmospheric. Figures are great - there's a lot to look at in this painting, it's excellent.

Thank you all for your comments, I didn’t notice the angel making an appearance Tim but they can appear at anytime especially when ones attention is elsewhere!! I was worried that it might be too dull for Venice and thank you all for the reassurance.

I prefer this kind of palette Barry and it gives a different feel to this well known scene....I like it very much.

Lovely painting Barry, this is my hometown.

Thank you Fiona glad you like the palette.

Thank you Cesare I envy you it’s a lovely part of the world.
