A great composition Barry, it's a lovely painting. I would add a few more grasses or even a tree to cover the left hand side of the bridge, but that's just me!

Thank you for the suggestion Margaret, it's currently on my sideboard where I will study it for a few days and consider possible changes. I will keep yours in mind.

I think the change in tone on the bridge works well here Dennis. The only thing I do find is that the dark windows of the houses on the far right, do attract my gaze out of the scene.

Thank you for your comments Stephen, I agree that the right hand side is a problem but I think it might be that I have created two centres of interest in the bridge and the figures. However, I concede that you could be right but you have confirmed my feeling about that area in the painting.

I think you are right Barry, if the figures were farther to the left, walking on the bridge, it would lead us through the picture.
