Exmoor Bridge

Exmoor Bridge

Very nice painting :)

Thank you Bonny.

A great composition Barry, it's a lovely painting. I would add a few more grasses or even a tree to cover the left hand side of the bridge, but that's just me!

Thank you for the suggestion Margaret, it's currently on my sideboard where I will study it for a few days and consider possible changes. I will keep yours in mind.

I think the change in tone on the bridge works well here Dennis. The only thing I do find is that the dark windows of the houses on the far right, do attract my gaze out of the scene.

I think you are right Barry, if the figures were farther to the left, walking on the bridge, it would lead us through the picture.

Reasonably happy with the result but did overwork the left hand side of the bridge trying to make it darker. Feel it needs a bit more contrast on the right but that's how it looks.
