This is an acrylic painting of the River Birkbeck in Northern England, which I completed in approximately 2005 on returning from a Geology trip. I first photographed and sketched the scene in coloured pencils and then decided to paint it. I may do more versions of this painting one day, as it was such a lovely serene place.
