I like this, a lovely informal portrait. Very colourful and does show a great personality.

I like this too, especially the way the background adds to and not distracts from the sitter. A very lively portrait.

The strong colour of her blouse ensures she doesn't get lost against the background; but there's a determination about that face that would stand out anyway. Very accomplished portrait.

I do like this portrait. Would love to know what size it is. Gael looks like quite a character, and although I haven't the foggiest whether or not this is a good likeness, something tells me it is. What does Gael say about it?

thanks so much for all your kind comments...the painting is approx.30x40 cm. ...gael does not like the painting ...too unflattering...but everyone that knows her agrees that it is definately her.

I think this is a terrific portrait. They eyes speak volumes and it is full of interest and atmosphere. Absolutely brilliant.

We would all probably be be a bit disconcerted if we knew how others really saw us. There would be no point in trying to make Gael look younger: it would take away all the character. Anyway, I still think she looks like a very interesting person, very likely quite a determined lady. It's good, too, that it is a decent size, almost life-size. She's also got quite a twinkle in her eyes, so she's got a sense of humour as well.
