A beautiful portrait, so expertly done; just the right amount of shadows, excellent sculpting to the face and very slight tonal change behind the glasses.The way the light shines on the hair is superb. White hair is so difficult. The background doesn't compete with the portrait. Be very proud of this one.

This was my first attempt at a portrait in oils...I usually work in watercolour or mixed media...I have been painting for 3 years and attend art classes 3 days a week...I started at 65 and love every minute of it.
