Nice work David, you have created a lot of depth in this painting.

Has a very tranquil feel, an old art class teacher used to say, always leave gates open, so the viewer can ‘walk through’, into the background. Not very practical in this wild scene I suppose!

A lovely scene, the light from the sky is superb.

Stephen in South Africa it is really taboo to leave gates open as grazing stock, particularly sheep in the Karroo need to be kept under close protection from stock theft and wild predators.
