Small abstract to continue experimenting. This time I brushed over the initial colours with a little water, then added more layers, and a little more water with some of the shapes. Tried lifting out a little of the colour in places. Still have a long way to go with this medium.

This is your best one so far in this series Sandra, I do like the shapes and the extra lines added.

Thank-you for your encouragement Alan, as I am still not sure about this medium.

Lovely colours Sandra, you seem to be getting more used to the water colour pencils now.

Thank-you Margaret. Still a long way from your standard though.

This has more of interest and is more vibrant Sandra, agree with Alan.

Some great shapes and colours Sandra, also some of the shapes have multiple shapes and tones. Interesting experimentation.

Marjorie, Fiona, thank-you very much for your positive feedback. Multiple shapes and tones is something that I want to work on for future.

About the Artist
Sandra Kennedy

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I'm getting back into painting, concentrating on abstract.
