Striking colours Sandra with some sparkle and and well appointed shading.

Thank-you Carole for your kind comment.

The first thing that came into my mind on seeing this as a thumbnail Sandra was ‘kites’. I think it’s the feeling of movement of the shapes, looking up into the blue sky and seeing a festival of kites flying.......very interesting piece.

Thank-you very much Fiona. I'm always interested in what people see in these abstracts, I must admit I hadn't thought of kites.

Lovely colours and shading. Like Fiona, I too could see flying kites or perhaps even kitesurfing.

I totally agree with previous comments on how the shapes contribute to a sense of movement. I also love your choice of colours, Sandra - well done.

Thank-you Ellen, Wib, for your encouraging comments. I'm now starting to see the kites!

Yes, kites it is then as Fiona has said Sandra. Lovely cheerful piece and shows your enthusiasm for your work.

Thank-you very much Alan for looking and commenting. You are right that I feel enthusiastic exploring abstract painting, I'm glad that it shows.

I see pattern Sandra. The yellow looks like an external evasion. Well maybe I should not be trying to make something of it.

Did not finish. I like the colours and the composition has a kind of rhythm.

John, thank-you for looking and for your positive comment. However you have me quite intrigued, what is an "external evasion"?

Beautiful colours and excellent design

Thank-you Dermot for your lovely comment.

About the Artist
Sandra Kennedy

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I'm getting back into painting, concentrating on abstract.
