Like the shapes and the colours Sandra, I know from chatting with you that this has been an on and off job, but it look good now , the bits of gold add a lot .

Thank-you David, Paul, John. I was dubious about the bits of gold Paul, so it is encouraging that you thought they added to it.

I agree about the bits of gold. It's good to have the contrast of smaller marks against larger shapes I think.

Thank-you very much Diane.

This is lovely, Sandra. My first thoughts after viewing this for a few moments is the likeness it has to the way some Chinese farm their paddy fields. They farm both fish and rice together. The colours you have chosen a gentle on the eyes.

The colours attracted me to your painting Sandra, lovely and vibrant.

Carol and Fiona thank-you for your lovely comments. I didn't know about the Chinese farming fish and rice together, interesting.

Striking painting Sandra it made me think of a satellite image of earth.

Thank-you Lesley. It is interesting what people make of an abstract painting.

Lively colors. Like the marks.

Thank-you Magdalena.

18x14 inches, on recycled canvas. This one just sort of evolved, not entirely satisfied with it but am planning hopefully a better version.

About the Artist
Sandra Kennedy

I became hooked on painting when I joined an evening class on painting "Abstracts in Acrylic" some years ago. Now retired, I was painting fairly regularly until the last couple of years when I've had a "creative drought". This year I'm getting back into painting, concentrating on abstract.
