I always home in on yours Avril. I could just scrape that peel away. You are a clever lady. Actually someone should take a scraper to this door and re paint the lot.....L O L .

Your closed doors Avril, always make me wonder who are or who were the people living behind. It's a wonderful painting!

Thank you Louise and Satu. As you say Satu so many of my paintings show closed doors and shutters. It's a sign of the times; town centres and villages in France are losing their shops and inhabitants and as time goes by the wooden doors and shutters deteriorate faster as they're never opened, thus changing the side facing the elements!
