All those doors must have been waiting for years and years for you Avril to find and discover the beauty in them. As Petra said, this is fantastic! I have been staring at it for a long time and I find it so beautiful. Your soft palette and your skill have made this old door a piece of art.

I saw this door in Macerata in the Marche region of Italy. We spent 2 weeks visiting and finished our stay with the Premio Marche d'Aqua (a two-yearly award) in Fabriano. The town had watercolour exhibitions in every church and cloister available with people painting at every corner.... a fantastic atmosphere !
